There can be little dispute that the creation of the sovereign republic of biafra was an act of self-preservation prompted by the actions of her former partners in the Nigerian Federation…..it was the refusal of the federal government to grant Eastern Nigeria its due share of federal revenues that was an imidiate factor in bringing the divorce to a head..... That the Nigeria-Biafra war is a human tragedy cannot be doubted....And that certain foreign Government must share a great deal of blame for encouraging through their myopic policies, a protraction of the war is also beyound dispute
